Breathing Meditation




Hatha Yoga uses breathing exercises,
pranayama, to awaken prana the vital, life-sustaining force. By practicing pranayama, you can tap the vast power within the breath and use it for self-healing and to heal others.

You can collect & store pranic energy in your solar Plexus (the pranic storage battery) by practicing pranayama.

 

Breathing Technique

 This breathing method involves alternate breathing through each nostril.

  1. Breath in through left nostril only for 4 seconds

  2. Keep both nostrils closed for 4 seconds

  3. Breath out through the right nostril for only 4 seconds

  4. Breath in through right nostril only for 4 seconds

  5. Keep both nostrils closed for 4 seconds

  6. Breath out through left nostril for only 4 seconds
